Originally rumored as the M7, HTC’s latest smartphone was only days away from getting attention at the pre-MWC event. Now, the rumor mills are churning again and the smartphone that we were calling the M7 is now being referred to as the HTC One. Not only that, but it looks like there has been an unconfirmed photo leak of the mysterious phone.
Evleaks claims to have the first real press shot of the highly anticipated phone and even though Peter Chou supposedly showed off the device at a recent event, this photo, if legitimate, would be the first clear look anyone has had at the HTC One.
As you can see in the photo, the button layout is bit different from the norm, with the HTC logo dead center. The edges seem to have a light chrome or metal sheen to them, but it is difficult to tell from the photo. Other previous leaks suggest that the display in the photo is a butterfly-style 1080p.
What we don’t know is if the device in the picture will sport the HTC One branding or even if it is, in fact, a legitimate photograph at all. Evleaks, however, has a great reputation for providing quality, reliable photographs of leaked devices, so I am willing to take them at their word.
