When it comes to flagship devices like the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3, we like to test and compare just about every aspect of each device to see which one is better. And in the video below, we test the durability of the SGS3 and iPhone 5 by dropping it from three different levels onto hard asphalt and seeing which smartphone comes out alive (if any). As our three level drop test showed, the iPhone 5 seems to be more durable than the Galaxy S3. In the Galaxy S3′s defense, we will say that it had the harder drops out of the two, landing face flat on two of the three drops. The iPhone 5 on the other hand, landed on one of its edges each time. But we still think the drop test is an accurate portrayal of the durability of each smartphone because the larger screen of the S3 makes it more likely to land face flat.
