Whether or not you own a Tegra-based Android device, I’m sure you’ve come across a few games that say they are “Tegra Optimized.” What does these mean exactly? Well, basically it means that the game has been enhanced to take full advantage of the Tegra-based processor in your device. What kind of enhancements are we talking? Watch the video below:

As you can see, Tegra Optimized games (commonly referred to as THD games) give you a slightly enhanced graphics experience (especially on the newest Tegra 3 processor). While I’m not entirely convinced that other processors (like the Exynos 4 Quad and the Snapdragon S4) can’t handle these same enhancements, I am convinced that these enhancements do make the gaming experience better. And for that, I applaud Nvidia (the manufacturer of the Tegra line).
