How To Hide Apps On The SGS3

0

I hate bloatware and preloaded junk apps just as much as the next guy. That’s why I usually root my phones so I can delete them. Or, if I can, I’ll disable the apps if the phone is running on Android ICS or above. But what if those two things aren’t an option? Or, what if you just want to hide the app from showing up in the app launcher but still want to be able to use it on your phone ? If you have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with the TouchWiz Nature UX user interface, this is actually really easy to do:

  1. From your home screen, tap on your app launcher (the button on the bottom right).
  2. Press menu and then tap on “Hide Applications.”
  3. Each app will have a little black box on the top right that you can check by tapping on it. Do so for all the apps you want to hide.
  4. Press “Done” at the top right to save your changes.

If you ever want to undo what we just did above, simply go to your app launcher, press menu, and then tap on “Show Hidden Applications.” Then check the apps you want to make visible once again and then press done to save your changes.
