Google’s Nexus 7 Tablet To Be Available In July For $199

There were a bunch of reports surfacing over the last couple of months about Google’s supposed Nexus tablet. Well, after Google’s I/O conference Wednesday it is now official. The ASUS manufactured tablet is being dubbed the “Nexus 7″ and is priced at a amazingly low $199 without a contract. What are the specs, you ask? Just as impressive as the price:
- 7 inch IPS display at 1280×800 (216 ppi)
- NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 12-core GPU
- 1 GB of RAM
- 8 GB of storage (also available with 16 GB for $50 more)
- 1.2 MP front facing camera
- 4325 mAh battery
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Yeah, pretty impressive indeed. I’m definitely going to be picking up one of these bad boys. Android 4.1 with all its performance improvements on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor that has 12 GPU cores? I don’t know about you, but I think if you’re in the market for a tablet than the Nexus 7 is a no brainer!
