Virgin Mobile To Offer The iPhone 4S On June 29

Sprint, parent company of Virgin Mobile, has confirmed that the pre-paid carrier will be getting the 8 GB iPhone 4 and the 16 GB iPhone 4S on June 29th. The phones will be sold for the same price as their unlocked counterparts, being $549 and $649 respectively. You can use either versions of the iPhone on one of Virgin Mobile’s three plans:
- $35/mo for 300 minutes, unlimited text and data
- $45/mo for 1200 minutes, unlimited text and data
- $55/mo for unlimited minutes, text, and data
And if you set up automatic bill pay with your debit or credit card, Virgin Mobile will give you a $5 monthly discount on all three plans. Meaning, you could effectively have an iPhone 4S running on Sprint’s network (Virgin Mobile uses the same network as its parent company) for just $30 a month. Despite the unsubsidized cost, I’m sure plenty of people are going to be signing up come June 29th.
