How To Set Lock Screen Passcode On The iPhone and iPad
One of the best ways to protect your personal information on your iPhone and/or iPad is to set a lock screen passcode to prevent people from being able to access your information. Setting up a passcode is easy and the whole process takes no more than a minute to set up. Below, you’ll find step by step instructions to password protecting your iPhone:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on General.
- Scroll to Passcode Lock.
- Tap Turn Passcode On.
- Enter a pin. Confirm it again.
You can set how often the password initiates in the same settings options. You can leave it set to locking immediately (which is default) after you turn off the screen, or have it lock after different intervals of time like 30 seconds, a minute, or even 10 minutes.
