The ability the take screenshots has been a feature on iOS for quite some time now, but I’ve found that a lot of people out there still don’t know exactly how to do it. That’s why in this how to guide, I’ll show you how to take a screenshot on your iOS device regardless of whether it’s an iPhone or an iPad:

1. Press and hold the home button on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Then quickly press the power/lock button right after.

Make sure that you do the two steps above right after each other and pretty quickly otherwise you’ll end up activating Siri or turning the screen of the device off. You know you’ve captured a screenshot successfully when you hear a camera shutter button and see the screen flash.
