The Verizon Palm Pre 2 is finally getting the webOS 2.1 update. The update is being rolled out gradually, so it may take a little while before it becomes available to all the Pre’s out there. The update brings a host of new features including:

• “Exhibition Mode” which displays your photos, agenda, or a clock when you dock your phone on to the touchstone charger.
• Voice Dialing
• Support for bluetooth keyboards.
• Ability to back up text messages (not MMS though), instant messages, and call history.
• Email fixes.
• Photo app fixes.
• Updates to tasks.
• Security updates.

This update might help keep Palm Pre 2 owners from jumping ship. Or will it?
